Home for the Homeless

As a home for the homeless, The House of St. Mary offers shelter, food, clothing and medical assistance to the residents, free of cost.

House of St. Mary

Vishudha Mariam Veedu aka the House of St. Mary has become synonymous with a home for anyone. Those who are abandoned are taken care with the doors open to them. The House of St. Mary is their home till their last breath.

Community Kitchen

Our Community Kitchen is an extension of Vishudha Mariam Veedu. We feed as many people as possible, so that no one ever goes hungry. This community kitchen (Oottupura in Malayalam) is a testimony of Jesus feeding 5000 with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. We trust in Jesus and follow his footsteps with love and care.

Ambulance Service

Our round the clock ambulance service is at the disposal for the use of our residents. However, we also extend the service to our neighbouring villagers in case of any emergency. The ambulance also provides pick up and drop for those physically challenged or aged people who need assistance for commuting to our Chapel to attend the Holy Mass. We respect the community and its needs in the right feeling.

St. Joseph’s Chapel

A small chapel within the premises of House of St. Mary is a place where we offer our prayers. It is a serene and silent location to meditate and talk to God.

Internship Program

MSW Students have an opportunity for an internship at our home. This helps students from within the community to get real-life experiences by working with Geriatric patients. It is great for students looking to fulfill their mandatory internships for their course.
